THE OBJECTIVE

To grow North Shore BMW and North Shore MINI Garage channels on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn to reach more customers.

THE CHALLENGE

To position the North Shore garages above competitors in other locations. Their social channels were previously ranked in the top 20 compared with other similar garages in locations with similar targets. The challenge was to move their channels up into the top 10!

 

THE SOLUTION

A 360 social media strategy, content development and deployment plan and community engagement for the North Shore BMW and North Shore MINI Garage. 750 assets were created using BMW and MINI imagery, and features on the garages and teams to connect both brands with their target audience. Posts were monitored in detail, week-to-week, to boost high-performing content and measure engagement. We found that paid social campaigns centred around Sales Events/New Car Releases have the most engagement across both brands. To add to this, boosting posts centred around staff and happy customers resulted in higher click-through rates.

 

THE RESULTS

In 2019:

  • We achieved close to 1,000,000 social media impressions across both brands.
  • Our highest follower increase for a single channel was 800%, with our lowest being 248%.
  • We achieved 29,700 LIKES across both brands on all platforms.
  • We achieved 528 SHARES across both brands on all platforms.
  • North Shore BMW climbed 13 spots ranking 6th on Facebook against their direct competitors, compared to 19th (at the start of 2019).
  • North Shore MINI Garage climbed 13 spots ranking 4th on Facebook against their direct competitors, compared to 17th (at the start of 2019).
